You may not eat, drink, or use tobacco during the test. Cell phones are not allowed in the test center. You should have nothing on your computer table except scratch paper, a No.2 pencil, and your identification put everything else under the table.

The test questions contained in this software delivery system are copyrighted 2012 by ETS. Pressing Continue brings a series of general directions for the test. To practice moving through the General Directions section, click the Continue button at the upper right corner of each screen. At the last General Directions screen, clicking Continue will begin the timed test. This section is not timed, and you may read at your own pace.
The information for the particular test you take may differ, and may include instructions for additional testing tools. The screens shown here are common to most of the tests. Narrator: After you log in, you will see a series of General Directions screens. To practice this step, pretend that the information you see here is correct, and click the Continue button. After confirming that the information on the screen is correct, you will click the Continue button to move ahead. The first screen will show your name, photo, candidate ID and the title of the test you will be taking. Narrator: At the testing center, you will sit down at the computer that has been assigned to you. Narrator: Please click Next Demo to continue. When you’re done practicing, clicking Next Demo will take you to the next section. If you’re confused, you can hear the explanation again by clicking the Repeat Demo button. Instructions and visual hints will guide you. Narrator: After each explanation, you’ll enter the Practice mode, where you can practice what you just learned. The navigation for the demonstration itself appears across the top, including buttons to jump to other sections and controls to play, pause or rewind the section you’re viewing. During the Demo mode, you’ll see and hear explanations of key test features. Narrator: This presentation works in two modes - Demo and Practice. By the time you’re done, you will have a good idea of what it will be like when you take an actual computer-delivered PRAXIS test. Interactive simulations will allow you to practice along the way. Additional sections cover features that appear only on particular tests. You will learn about the main features common to all of the tests - including logging in, navigation and types of questions.
